"The Power of You !"
Featuring Dr. Jenevieve Hughes, Breast Surgical Oncology, Methodist Richardson Medical Plaza I

About the Program

What does it mean to be healthy, and does it matter? We often underestimate the importance of these questions. From a physician's perspective, we will discuss

  • why living in a healthy way is important
  • how small changes can make huge differences
  • what happens when health is threatened
  • how to take care of yourself or become a caregiver for someone else

Every person has the power to make choices that can lead to a healthier, balanced, and fulfilling life, and we will take the time together to reflect on the Power of You!

About the Speaker

Jenevieve Hughes, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in breast disease and breast surgery. Dr. Hughes graduated from Texas A&M College of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Mayo Clinic in Arizona and her fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Pennsylvania. She moved back to Texas with her husband and one-year-old daughter to join the team at Methodist Richardson Cancer Center, which is affiliated with UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her medical interests include breast cancer, breast surgery, and management of high-risk patients and benign breast disease. Besides spending time with her family, Dr. Hughes enjoys photography, scrapbooking, and card games. She is a big fan of The Beatles, and she has two dogs – Ringo and Lucy.
